Privacy Policy for AI Moto Fitment Finder
Last updated: April 14, 2026
Ormond Brand Consulting (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the AI Moto Fitment Finder application (the “App”) for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use our App.
1. Information We Collect
When you install and use the App, we collect the following information:
Store Information: Your Shopify store domain, store name, and contact email address as provided by Shopify during the installation and authentication process.
Product Data: Product titles, handles, and variant information from your Shopify store catalog, used to enable vehicle-to-product fitment mapping.
Fitment Data: Vehicle and product mapping data that you create within the App, including year, make, model, and submodel associations.
Widget Search Data: Anonymous search queries made through the storefront widget, including the year, make, and model selections and the number of matching results. This data is not tied to individual customers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and maintain the App’s core functionality, including the Year/Make/Model fitment widget on your storefront.
Sync your product catalog to enable fitment mapping within the App.
Process vehicle-to-product search queries from your customers through the storefront widget.
Generate aggregate search analytics to help you understand what vehicles your customers are searching for.
Communicate with you about your account, billing, and App updates.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Fly.io with PostgreSQL databases. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and follow security best practices for data at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or store data to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: We use third-party infrastructure providers (Fly.io, Shopify) to host and operate the App. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you have the App installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, we will delete your store data, including fitment mappings and search analytics, within 30 days of uninstallation. Aggregate, anonymized data that cannot be linked back to your store may be retained for analytical purposes.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access the data we hold about your store through the App’s admin interface.
Request deletion of your data by uninstalling the App or contacting us directly.
Export your fitment mapping data via CSV at any time through the App.
7. GDPR Compliance
For merchants and customers in the European Economic Area (EEA), we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process data based on the legitimate interest of providing the App’s services. We respond to data access, portability, and deletion requests within 30 days. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.
8. CCPA Compliance
For California residents, in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected. You may request deletion of your personal information.
9. Cookies and Tracking
The storefront widget uses browser sessionStorage to remember a customer’s vehicle selection during their browsing session. This data is stored locally in the customer’s browser and is not transmitted to our servers. We do not use cookies or third-party tracking on your storefront.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is designed for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
